Enter a parallel universe with Vertigo for VR

Vertigo is a first-person shooter virtual reality game which combines elements of puzzle, adventure, and escape room. It propels players into the sprawling subterranean interior of Planck International’s Quantum Reactor – a machine which generates energy from black holes – from which they must escape.

Gripping storyline and wholly immersive atmosphere

Although the reactor in which the game is set seems curiously deserted, we must piece together the dark secrets of events that have transpired in between gripping melee combat with robots and bosses and challenging puzzles. Gameplay is straightforward, revolving around learning a new skill then implementing it in the completion of a puzzle of a boss fight. The soundtrack is a particularly strong element of this game, significantly contributing to the atmosphere of the game, and it is available as a release in its own right.

Magnificent VR experience

Published by Zulubo Productions and designed by two independent developers, Vertigo has been one of the most hotly anticipated titles for VR. Vertigo is extremely well-designed, boasting a compelling storyline and fantastic graphics. Gameplay supports artificial and teleportation movement methods, and the comprehensive main menu enables players to customise all aspects of their Vertigo experience.

PROS

  • Engaging storyline and good length.
  • Fabulous soundtrack.

CONS

  • Combat can be awkward in close quarters.
  • No multiplayer nor cooperative gameplay.
